For someone who has always worked with placards, had a passion for drawing and wanted to immerse himself in the universe of art, Marcos Siqueira has gone far. His curiosity led him to experiment with different materials and at 18 he took a correspondence course in drawing. He got married, and carried on making signs. “In 2002, I discovered wooden sculpture in a craft art fair, and got really excited. I started sculpting and I am always trying to improve. I like my larger pieces, the simplified saints with primitive features, and the sculptures that are at the Latin American Art Museum in Garanhuns.” Marcos Siqueira was born in Guaranhuns, in 1970. |
