Vicentina Julião was born in Prados in 1955 and her son José in 1976. Today they work together and both sign their pieces with the surname Julião in order to keep the tradition of the family alive. With her own style, Vicentina carves and sculpts cedar wood into candlesticks that she calls Tree of Life and Live Wheels. Her work has evolved and the pieces have become very collectable. One of her daughters, Juliana Fátima da Fonseca, sculpts columns decorated with animals and plants.
