João Julião was born in 1968. “When I was younger I used to help my father work the land and whenever I could I made something in wood.” He says that as the sales of his pieces grew the work on the farm was put aside and sculpture became the family’s main occupation. “My father is an strict, honest man, he always looked after visitors properly and insisted that all his children worked, making sincere pieces of high quality.” |
