Anelise Flausino Godoy was born in Aquidauana and attended the Belas Artes School in São Paulo (SP). She returned to her hometown in the 80s, and today makes sculptures in several materials, mainly granite, marble and sandstone. Her themes are always regional, proof that her roots run deep. The marble comes from Bonito (MS); the granite from Porto Murtinho(MS); and the sandstone, available in the whole area, comes from the town itself or from the nearby mountain range that runs from Bela Vista (MS) to Cuiabá (MT).
Right at the entrance of her house, visitors are surprised by a big fish. It weighs around 600 kilos.

Rosilene Rosa started working in Campo Grande (MS) and has been living in Aquidauna for the last 8 years. In the capital, she used to work with wood and is now working with sandstone and marble. Her themes are regional, but more sophisticated. Rosilene has taken part in many exhibitions and trade events, and is studying for her Masters degree.
